Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains how Mo3ed collects, uses and protects personal data. Mo3ed is a brand owned and operated by Peter Adel Gerges Matta, Building 29, El Seil El Gedid, Aswan, Egypt ("we", "us"). We process personal data in line with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

1. Our role and the clinic's role

When a patient messages the WhatsApp number of a clinic that uses Mo3ed, the clinic is the controller of its patients' data and we process that data on the clinic's behalf and only on its instructions. We are the controller for data about our clinic customers and visitors to this website.

2. Data we collect

From patients on WhatsApp: WhatsApp phone number and profile name as provided by WhatsApp; the content of text messages and the text of voice messages after transcription; the name given for a booking; and appointment details (date, time, service, doctor). We do not ask for or store medical details in appointment records. If a patient volunteers health information, it remains only in the conversation history, and the medical question is handed to the clinic.

From clinics: clinic name, doctors, services, prices and working hours; the account holder's name, phone and email; billing details.

From website visitors: technical logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Conversations on the demo page are stored on our side and in your browser so the conversation can continue. The demo is for a fictional clinic; please do not enter real personal data there.

3. How we use data

  • To reply to patients on the clinic's behalf, including prices and available appointment times.
  • To book, change and cancel appointments in the clinic's schedule.
  • To hand conversations to clinic staff when a human is needed.
  • To review samples of conversations to fix errors and improve reply quality.
  • To manage clinic subscriptions, communicate with clinics and issue invoices.

We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with any other clinic.

4. Service providers

  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business Platform): sending and receiving messages.
  • Anthropic: understanding messages and writing replies with Claude models.
  • OpenAI: transcribing voice messages to text. Audio is sent once and not stored by us.
  • Supabase: database hosting in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Vercel: website and server hosting.

Some of these servers are outside Egypt, so data is transferred abroad only to operate the service. Under their API terms, Anthropic and OpenAI do not use customer API data to train their models by default.

5. Retention

  • Incoming messages are removed from the processing queue as soon as they are handled.
  • Conversation history and appointments are kept for as long as the clinic subscribes, since they are needed to follow up bookings.
  • When a clinic's subscription ends, we delete its data and its patients' data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it.

6. Security

All connections are encrypted with HTTPS. The database cannot be reached directly from the internet and is only accessed by our server using a secret key. Every incoming WhatsApp webhook is verified as coming from Meta before it is processed.

7. Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing. Email info@mo3ed.com or follow the steps on our data deletion page. Patients can also make these requests to their clinic. You may also complain to Egypt's Personal Data Protection Center.

8. Minors

The service is intended for adults. A parent or guardian booking for a child provides and is responsible for that data.

9. Changes

We will post any new version of this policy here with its date, and notify subscribed clinics of material changes.
